Since Homelessness is a major action area for LWVBC, we're going to be adding a page on the Website providing links to important information. We'll let you know as soon as this page is up and running. In the meantime, there is an opportunity to become involved on September 12th. Upcoming Meetings

The 2019 County Winter League Day will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Pasadena City College. The subject will be "Working with Ethnic Communities." More information is available on the Calendar page. A flyer can be found at:

Winter League Day

LWVBC, together with the South Bay Coalition to End Homelessness and Harbor Interfaith Services, will be presenting a program on "Homeless in the South Bay" on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Hermosa Beach Community Center. More information is available on the Calendar page.

Ballot Measures

Book Club

LWV Beach Cities is starting a Book Club to read and discuss books of interest to League members. The first meeting will be on Thursday, January 31st from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at St. Cross Episcopal Church in Hermosa Beach. The book to be read is "Evicted" by Matthew Desmond. More details are on the Calendar page, as are remaining 2019 dates (books to be selected later).
